April

April and May (and now June) are all blurring together but here's a recap of at least some of April. 

Oliver's Spring program at school. 

They sang a lot of songs with motions. Oliver's participation was average at best...until the jumping part. 

Asbury's Jamboree.

 Every year the AU tumbling team puts on a big show that involves lots of high jumps, loud music, and a ring of fire. They had the kids at "fire"

(We took no pictures of the actual jumping and fire, but a selfie seemed in order)

 Elementary Track and Field. The East Jessamine Track team puts on a track clinic in the Spring that ends with a "real" track meet. Cambel ran on the middle school team this year (despite our lack of photographic evidence to prove it), so just Ada and Oliver participated. Both were thrilled they got medals, but Oliver was far competitive and enthusiastic than Ada. 

 Ada is better the longer the race and Oliver has some speed for shorter distances. 

Easter. 

What a gift to celebrate this day. Every year it overwhelms me--this "grace in which we stand" that is freely ours. 

We went to church and then had a brunch at Joe and Laura's. 

Ada's Birthday.

We marked Ada's 9th birthday with Mom and Dad, 2 of her best friends, a cookout, and a camp out-turned-camp-in when it started raining and the tent cover blew off. 

This girl is pretty special and it is joy to see her grow. 

 Celebration of Spring. 

We are thoroughly enjoying our yard and view this Spring, but we also like to head out and see what Spring looks like in other places:) Camp Nelson is a family favorite.
