One of my goals for this Summer was to get the front porch painted and to do a little landscaping. In the Spring we had the huge overgrown and ugly front bushes torn out. We have just a few (free) perrinials in now with some mulch. While not exactly where we want it, it looks better. We also used a local VBS and a basketball camp as a way to occupy 2/3rds of the kids so that we could paint the porch. It turned out to be a much bigger job than I had anticipated. And in the end, the darker color I had imagined turned out about 30 shades lighter in reality. But since it is painted, and it looks better, we will not be repainting it anytime soon. Overall, I am happy with the results and glad to check another project off our list.
