Congo Friends

This Summer has already been packed with trips and activities, which I suppose is not a bad way to spend summer vacation. Our first trip was for a conference Kevin had in Michigan. We decided to all head up together so that I could stay with the kids at my sister's house while Kevin was gone. On our way we stayed overnight at the Abe Martin Lodge in Brown County so that we could hang out with some fellow Congo adoption families. Both families have the sweetest little kids--2 of whom are beautiful girls born in DRC. Cambel and Ada LOVED playing with girls who were more pliable and accepting of their help than Oliver and Ada has been asking if she can have a little sister "like those girls."

Oliver just loved wearing his "googles" on top of his head

Not everyone was thrilled to be taking a picture, but aren't they a great looking group of kids?
We are so thankful to have developed real life friendships with families that share a love for Congo and whose children share Oliver's birth country. Z
