Finishing up week 4 of single-motherhood has left me devoid of the ability to put together anything cute or witty or really even coherent. All my creative juices have been redirected to figuring out how to reconstitute several million tomatoes into something that we will want to use in January 2020, distracting Ada for a few minutes so I can make dinner, deciding what Ada is screaming about and whether or not she should be reprimanded for this, rewording the phrase "do not bug your sister" in the hopes that Cambel will finally understand what that means, debating whether Cambel is crying because he can't find his new movie, or because he misses his dad, and using all the willpower I have to not scream right along with Ada and cry right along with Cambel.
But really, other than that, things are going great.
Actually, we are hanging in there okay---thanks to great friends, preschool, unlimited cell phone minutes between my phone and Kevin's, ice cream, a few calm loving moments between siblings, my mom's visit, and my sister Anne whose house is always open (and even if it is not, I have a key.)

We take our ice cream very seriously

...at least some of us do.

Unprompted sharing (combined with my ice cream) really makes me happy.

And so does this.
