Our Fall, in a nutshell:
- Our Halloween pictures got lost, but really it was more of the same--as in, I did as little as possible in the costume department, but still managed to steal a lot of candy from the kids and everyone was happy. This year I happened to find costumes at Goodwill. Ada was a Crayola box, Oliver was a construction worker (or just a person with an orange vest) and Cambel was (bless his heart) a soccer player. again. We also loaned several costumes to a new friend whose parents are Congolese. Given the choice between a doctor, a knight, and a superhero, he said "yes" and wore them all. Halloween and all its weirdness is a little lost on our African friends. I really wish we hadn't lost that picture though because it was great.
- I joined Oliver for his preschool field trip to the pumpkin patch. It was a beautiful day, and fun to see him with his friends. He picked a pumpkin out carefully (apparently a very heavy one), and we took a hayride and enjoyed cider and doughnuts.
- Our church hosted the Fall kids day and family camp out. The kids LOVE this day because they run around all wild and free, play games, eat smores, stay up late, sleep in a tent, and eat junk in the morning. I take one for the team and sleep at home (someone needs to wake up warm and rested and that someone is me).
- And one night Cambel got out of his bed, got in bed with Oliver, and then used him as a pillow. (This doesn't even fit here, but where else would I post it?)
