Friends

In our traveling this summer, and in some of our friends' traveling, we got to see friends we don't usually get to see. Staying true to form, I failed to get consistent pictures of said friends, unless someone else reminded me, but here is what I did get:

Visit from the Biedenbachs--We were so happy Brian and Amy and their kids came to visit us. We all hiked up to Natural Bridge and drowned out the sound of complaining kids with reminiscing over funny stories and solving many of the world's problems (minus how to get your kids to stop complaining). A hike to Natural Bridge isn't complete without a stop at Miguel's Pizza--plus the kids needed some motivation to keep them going. Miguel's did not disappoint--greasy pizza and ice cream rarely does.
Ada LOVED Hallie. And yes, the picture was set up so as to make the cups front and center.

We got a sitter for all the kids and spent the evening together. Don't we look like we are in college?:)--minus the gray hair of course.

Visit to the Millers:
While we were in Indiana for a family reunion we got to see Scott and Kristin and their kids. Our kids were SO HAPPY to be reunited with their friends and we loved catching up.

Not pictured:
A visit from the Brinks (they were great about all the packed up boxes and bare walls as they visited right before our move). We so enjoy being with Christy and Neil and there wonderful girls.

A visit to the Fries. When I took the kids up to the WGB Celebration we stopped for a short but lovely visit. Being with Michelle was just what I needed that day. I was feeling stressed about moving and I needed to sit in her kitchen and enjoy her wonderful food and conversation.

We are so blessed to have so many good friends--people who seem to like us in spite of all our weirdness:) Because we have moved several times, we have lots of friends we don't get to see nearly as much as we would like, but we feel privileged to be able to jump back into their lives when we can and feel like we pick up where we left off.
