Normally we are traveling to be with family, but this year we were home for Easter. Since our church meets in the afternoon, we decided to attend a morning service with some friends, and then our afternoon service.
Easter will never cease to amaze me with its significance and I am, as I should be, filled with gratitude for all that Christ did for us in His life, death, and resurrection. Singing about the empty tomb with other believers makes me think about believers all over the world celebrating the same Savior.
Of course it has nothing to do with the spiritual significance of Easter, but I do also love to dress the kids in matching colors and then make them look into the glaring sun to take their picture.

Oliver really struggled making a normal face |
 |
Yes, including the garage was part of the plan |

Oh Oliver. Someday when I say "smile" you won't do that face |
 |
Again, what a lovely garage |
After a wonderful time of reflection and beautiful worship at our Anglican church, we headed to a potlock dinner located in a barn that belongs to family at church. We ate and fellowshiped and then we danced. Like we learned a group dance and then had a dance party. I have never danced on Easter before, but it was the perfect way to end the day. It might go down as my favorite Easter ever.
