Eye patch

I had no idea it was possible to scratch your cornea with your own finger. But yesterday Oliver proved that is, in fact, very possible. 

While getting his pajamas off, he scratched his eye--which normally would not be a big enough deal to derail our entire day and end with an eye patch, eye drops, and a follow up appointment witht the doctor. But it was a huge deal. He was panicked and couldn't keep his eye open and couldn't stop crying. So we called the doctor and the nurse told us to come in to have it checked. They inserted this yellow dye into his eye and used a flourescent light to look for a scratch--sure enough, there was a rather large scratch across his eye. 

So eye patch it is! Never a dull moment here.
