Just a day or two before school started, we took the kids into downtown Lexington for some ice cream and some family time. In front of the fountains we told them to stand together for a picture, and this is what we got...
This happened spontaneously, and with no apparent communication between them.
In the nature vs. nurture debate, weirdness is obviously more nurture...
...I'm not sure what that says about our parenting (well, maybe I am sure, but I don't want to admit that we are making them weird).
At least it keeps us entertained.
We finally convinced them to pose for a more normal picture, minus Oliver sticking his tongue out.
The first morning of school dawned early, especially for kids who have been enjoying some lazy mornings in bed. But first day jitters and the excitement about a new year got them out of bed and ready quickly. (Too bad that fades so fast). Cambel entertained Ada with funny stories while they waited (funny being a relative term).
3rd grade and 1st grade
How are my kids this old??
