Georgia

This year our vacation in St. Simons Georgia was I think our best yet. The weather was great, 2 out of our 3 kids can swim independently and bike as fast as us, and we got to spend some time there just the 5 of us, and then had a great time with all of Kevin's family. It was just about as perfect as it could be (minus the 4th of July street brawl Kevin broke up and a man who started cussing at us because Oliver decided to relieve himself by the side of the pool...life is never dull for a Brown).
Here is the pictoral evidence of our fun vacation in no particular order:
Oliver enjoyed the water more than last year
We celebrated our 12th anniversay...can't imagine who I would be without him.
A pretty intense soccer game was played.
Cambel took it VERY seriously...
the look on Ada's face gives you an idea of how she felt about it.
Ada relished her time with Elise--as the only girls they kind of have to get along.
Lots of pool time. Bewteen us we have 8 kids, so we tended to clear out the pool with all our playing and yelling and splashing.

Papa did lots of reading, which Ada loved and Oliver was sometimes interested in.
What Oliver really enjoyed was doing Papa's hair and playing Nana's keyboard.
We didn't spend as much time at the beach this year because the pool was so fun, but we did manage to get our yearly family beach picture--which, predictably, did not turn out great, but there we all are, not listening to my commands to stand still, smile, and look at the camera.
It also did not go great getting a picture of all the kids together, but here they all are, not listening to their parents' pleas to sit still, smile, and look at the camera.
We watched fireworks by the pier, which were interrupted by a street brawl that Kevin practically single-handedly broke up. The fight was pretty disturbing, but the way Kevin handled it was pretty impressive. Thankfully it was over quickly, so we got right back to watching the show.
Oliver watched more TV than the American Pediatrics Association reccommends, but it was a great way for he and Nolan to bond, especially since popcorn was involved.
Unfortunately, Oliver spent the last 15 mintues of the trip like this because literally, while I was saying out loud how we needed to thank God for such a great vacation, for safe travels, and for no one throwing up, he threw up. So a great vacation minus the street brawl, the angry pool guy, and Oliver vomiting.
