Easter

We spent Easter this year with my sister Emily and her family in Arkansas. It was a wonderful time together as we expected. We got to spend the one day at a zoo/park/petting zoo (whatever it was, the kids loved it) and the adults were able to spend one evening out on a date together, which was so much fun. On Easter Sunday Emily and Adriel managed to no only take several (extra) kids to church with them, but also feed lunch to more people than they were expecting, and host an Easter egg hunt. It was impressive and a testament to the kind of generous and open life Emily and Adriel lead. (Meanwhile, I mainly just managed to get everyone in my family dressed, take pictures, and eat).

As much as I love the color coordinated outfits, I think as Cambel approaches double digits we are nearing the end of this being okay. But I will enjoy it while I can.

Need I even comment on the impossiblity of all my children looking like themselves, looking at the camera, and smiling all at the same time?

Yes, I know Oliver's solo shot didn't turn out quite as great as Cambel and Ada's, but I am trying not to play favorites here (he's cute, this picture just doesn't fully reflect that).
The Easter egg hunters.

Noe and Oliver at the zoo.
(Ada did not go goth on us this weekend, she just had a blue snow cone)

Although Eliana looks a bit uncertain about being this close to Ada, they really did enjoy each other

(I don't know who that girl is behind the kids, but I bet she is pretty excited she made the blog)

Why there are no pictures of all of us, or of more of the kids is a mystery to me. But just imagine us all together looking happy.
Living several hours from family is a bummer, so weekends like this one are special and we were so glad it worked out for us to make the trip.
