We went on vacation and then left for vacation

This summer both our families had vacations planned, so we marked 2 back-to-back week off on our calendars to head south to relax and be with our families. When we made these plans we had no idea that we would be in the middle of a (somewhat chaotic) move. (Have I mentioned that too much in the last few posts? Don't worry, eventually I will stop oozing stress and anxiety all over the place). Anyway, our first vacation was Holden Beach, NC. I love this place and every time we go we add more memories to the already great ones I have stored over the years. I love my family and I love being with my sisters and having our kids play together. This year I barely saw Cambel because he spent nearly every waking moment with Isaiah. And Ada and Micah made quite a pair, as did Ada and Eliana. Oliver had a bit of a love-hate relationship with Noe, but we are hoping it will grow into something a bit more pleasant over the years:)

I barely took any pictures and relied instead on Anne's enthusiasm for capturing her family--luckily my kids were in a lot of her pictures.

And so, in no particular order, our vacation in pictures taken mainly by someone else.

This is Ada's go-to position--hands on hips, swimsuit wedgie

The whole family...there are a whole lot of us.
Since it was Anne taking all the pictures, I don't have any of just Emily and me.

If you could see the superior photos of Anne's extremely photogenic and always-looking-at-the-camera family, you would be embarrassed for us. But without a comparison, we don't look too bad do we?:)

And now we are in St. Simon's Georgia where we are enjoying time with Kevin's family. I have yet to unearth my camera. We are also receiving news from someone doing some work on our house about the unusual rain in KY and our (newly discovered!) leaky attic and flooded storage basement. Maybe I will just stay on vacation forever.
