We celebrated Oliver's birthday in Holden Beach North Carolina this year (the day after a long drive, which came 2 days after we moved into our new house, which came a few days after we moved out of our old house). I had nothing for him and no cake, but my sister Anne saved the day with cupcakes and balloons (and he didn't even seem to notice that I hadn't done any of it).
He has come such a long way in the past year and a half...I guess he really isn't a baby anymore. But I will keep calling him that for as long as I can:)
He got so excited he ate the candle instead of the cupcake...and then spit it out all over the table. Oh well, happy birthday anyway baby! We love you and we cannot imagine our family without you in it.
