The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

We celebrated Christmas a day early this year with just our family before we headed to Louisville to celebrate with Kevin's family. As Cambel and Ada get older, it is fun to see them enjoy Christmas  and to develop family traditions together.
A staple tradition: one I grew up with--pajamas on Christmas Eve
A developing tradition: reading "Room for a Little One"--our favorite Christmas book
A brand new tradition: Reading the kids' "story." We made books for each of them that tell all about their beginning in our family.
And of course gifts. Cambel was very helpful with opening gifts...but he was so sincere in buying gifts for everyone in our family with his own money, and making lots of gifts, that he deserved to be in on all the action.
Ada got one of my dolls that I got for Christmas when I was little. I made "Naomi" (or "Dayomi" as Ada pronounced it)  a ballerina skirt, and one for Ada too.
Cambel got a box of Legos and he could not have been happier.
Our time with Kevin's family was great. The cousins are at a great age for playing together and they seemed to really enjoy each other's company. We left with lots of gifts and wonderful memories....and only a few pictures. For some reason I haven't been getting the camera out as often and when I do, the results are less than stellar. So it was the most wonderful time of the year, even though the pictures, or lack thereof, fail to tell the story.
