Our costumes get lamer every year

I'll be honest. I'm in it for the candy. Which is why each year putting together costumes is worth it, and why the costumes are trending towards lame and lamer.
Cambel had a lot of camoflauge and was happy to be an "army guy" complete with a water bottle, a fake weapon, and a large stick--all hooked onto one of Kevin's belts looped around his waist.
Ada took a not-surprising turn towards princess and wore a dress we borrowed from a friend. She accessorized with a random ribbon, dog tags, and a facial tattoo she gave her self with a permanent marker (there is a good reason they are named permanent).

You can see the stick under his arm--the one opposite the weapon.

The unfortunate tattoo cannot be seen in the picture, but I assure you it is there. Also she has several tattoos on her arm.
We trick-or-treated with our friends who were a ballerina, a princesses, a girl in a leotard, and a girl scout (or a cow girl depending on when you asked).  Their family is just in it for the candy too.
