A day at the beach and other reasons to make a weird face for the camera

My children revolted a bit this year in the area of picture-taking and we ended up with a lot of odd faces, bored faces, annoyed faces, faces looking away, blocked faces--basically a total disregard for the importance of documenting our summer vacation. In response, I have become a big fan of the "walking away" pose. It is what they want to do anyway, and I don't have to worry about their faces.
The other option was of course to take a picture of them with one of their sand creations. Pride always trumps a "can-we-please-be-done-with-this-I-hate-pictures" face.
