Being that today is April Fool's Day, I came up with a grand plan this morning to convince Cambel that we had received a last minute email from his preschool teachers instructing the students to come to preschool dressed only in swimwear--because a large pool had been delivered to the preschool parking lot and they would be swimming all morning (it is like 30 degrees out). Since Cambel is only 5, he fell for this hook, line, and sinker and despite his intense confusion and his concern about how cold he would be, Cambel complied and headed out the door in this:
We only made him step outside for a second before we told him it was April Fool's Day. And then we laughed at him (because we love him).
He thought it was pretty funny too. And he has taken this opportunity to try play a few jokes on me--the first idea for his joke was that my MOPS group was going swimming. Don't worry, I didn't change into my suit.

Oh, I actually feel kind of bad for him. He really believed you guys. And now you destroyed his trust. Way to go. :)
I called our phone and Nate answered and acted like it was his secretary and then told the kids that the buses were running 15 minutes ahead of schedule. They sort of panicked and then we said "April Fools!" Lydia did a whole teenager roll the eyes, blank expression face. She's too cool for April Fools.
And you were in line for Mother of the Year????
I don't think so...
(although that was pretty funny) :)
