Where there are marshmallows, there's a festival

For Labor Day weekend we were able to make a trip up to visit Anne and Nate. When we lived in Shipshewana we were spoiled with having them so close. We could drop by for dinner (we were really good at eating their food), swap kids for babysitting, and spend impromptu days together. It was great, and now when we go back to visit I can't help but feel very sad that I don't live close to my sister anymore.
Since it was Labor Day, the Marshmallow Festival was in full swing in Ligonier.. Unfortunately I kept forgetting to get out the camera and document all the excitement we had(seriously, what wouldn't be exciting and fun about a town festival celebrating marshmallows?), the lemon shake-up I paid way too much for, the awesome authentic tacos I dipped in a hot sauce that burned my lips (thus requiring the lemon shake-up), the parade, or changing Ada's diaper in a yard while the whole town filed by (because potty training is so not successful).
I also missed the cousins playing together, the bonfire and campout (for the guys and the kids), catching up with dear friends, and laughing with my sister (which would actually be a bit of a weird picture to post on this blog).
Anyway, the point is we had a good time and I left feeling a little homesick, and with just one post-able picture on the camera:
Ada and Micah laying on the floor with their treasured blankets. It's no Marshmallow Festival, but it will have to do.
