This is our first summer since Kevin became a college professor.
I think everyone should be a teacher because having the summer to come and go as you please is pretty great.
This year in our enthusiasm over Kevin's open schedule we got a bit overzealous in our planning and ended up being pretty busy. So it was really great to pack up the family and head to St. Simon's Georgia for 2 whole weeks (compliments of the condo that Kevin's parents own) for some sand and sun and relaxation.
This vacation was fantastic enough to require more than one post (*and the faithful fans of the blog rejoice*).
We began our trip with a night at Nana and Papa's where we acquired a new member of our family in the form of a Cabbage Patch doll that Ada has affectionately named "Ting-Sing"
Turns out Ting-Sing needs a lot of attention and Ada isn't able to hold her ALL the time like she demands so we all had to take turns. Even Daddy. (Thankfully Ting-Sing doesn't require a car seat).
Our route on the way there took us through the Smokey Mountains and some amazing views...and we were so-not-on-a-schedule that we even stopped to take a picture. (Cambel and I really aren't that small and blurry, it's just that the view was so big and Kevin was way back at the car with Ada and Ting-Sing).
