About sisters and kids and dead rabbits

Several weeks ago my sister Emily came all the way from Arkansas with her daughter Eliana (who just might qualify for "Cutest Baby Ever" had my children not already been born) to visit us. Emily is not only my sister but also one of my best friends, so I loved having her here and getting to talk to her in person, getting to know Eliana, and seeing her as a (really great) mother. You would think that with such special visit, I would have been posting pictures a long time ago. Unfortunately the majority of the pictures were taken with my Dad's camera and it required a technological miracle (in my opinion ) to get them from his camera to my blog.

On one of the last days of the visit, Mom, Emily, Anne, and I were all able to spend the day together. We decided to get some dessert at a little cafe where we could eat outside in the gazebo and let the kids play in the yard. Things were going great until Micah got attacked by an ant (yes, just one). Then Isaiah carried over a dead baby rabbit (yes, a dead baby rabbit), which resulted in much screaming and some running away by the adults (yes, the adults). That kind of ended the pleasant part of our time together and began the time of washing dead rabbits off of little hands and investigating the mystery of the death of the rabbits and why our kids were playing with them (which was never entirely solved).
Despite the untimely death of the baby rabbits and the panic they caused, it was so nice to all be together. I am already looking forward to us all being together again (hopefully sans dead rabbits).
Cambel loved holding Eliana...

...and so did Ada, but I am not sure the feeling was mutual.

Lots of running (not connected to the rabbits)

Emily brought matching soccer shirts for the boys from Argentina. Cambel wore his all day, and then over his pajamas to bed.

What beautiful kiddos! Poor little baby rabbits. We have 2 (baby rabbits) living under our deck in the back yard. The kids are obsessed with trying to catch them, although they know that if they ever do, and the rabbit bites them, I will take them to the hospital for shots.
