Papa and Nana came on Thursday night and let me have the whole day on Friday to get a haircut and do some Christmas shopping....which would have been perfect except that in my haste to get ready for my big day out, I accidentally replaced my checks with checks that belonged to an old account. Needless to say the bank had a few questions about that. Luckily we live in a small enough town that they know me and called me to let me know that I was writing bad checks (not exactly the kind of call you want to receive. Incidentally, if you do ever lose you mind and start writing checks from a closed account, make sure the people at the bank know you, are very kind and forgiving, and that you apologize profusely, while simultaneously laughing at how embarassed you are. That should knock out the idea of fining you for your irresponsible behavior clear from their kind and forgiving minds). Also, my luck was really running high because I hadn't gotten around to mailing a bill with another bad check and the only store I wrote a check to actually never took my check from me. Imagine my double embarrassment when I called to tell the owner not to cash my check, while explaining that I really do have money, just not in that non-existent account, only to find that I had never even given her the check.
(And now I am officially done with writing confusing run-on sentences)
So I wrote bad checks and stole all in one day. I think I need to get out a little more often.
Anyway, the point of this rambling and embarrassing post is that Papa and Nana are here, and Cambel and Ada are thoroughly enjoying all of the attention.

We watched Charlie Brown's Christmas one night (Cambel was so excited his jaw dropped)
Ada has been hosting a 24 hour read-a-thon
Both Cambel and Ada are finding plenty of ways to keep Nana and Papa busy.
Thanks Nana and Papa!
