My neighbor Angie knows how to cook everything and do anything kitchen related. After we planted a garden together this year and she taught me how to can 4 million tomatoes, she inspired me to make my own applesauce. She let me borrow this delightful contraption and she set it all up for me and told me what to do. Several hours later, we had homemade applesauce, which tastes better than store bought applesauce because it is full of the pride that comes with making it yourself (You can't really taste the pride, that is just an analogy. And really this applesauce made Ada gag. But Cambel liked it, and that is because he helped make it, which proves my point about pride and how it makes things taste better).
A lot of apples
Plus a lot of cranking

Very Impressive!
You are quite the prolific blogger lately. That is quite the contraption. Where does one acquire an applesauce maker?
i typed a bunch of posts this weekend to get caught up and then scheduled them to post throughout the week. so i just look like i have a lot of time on my hands.
you can buy a victoria strainer at most hardwares and stores that carry canning supplies. but i borrowed this one from my neighbor.
