All summer I have been trying to get just one picture of our family with everyone smiling at the same camera. Actually, I started out with the goal of everyone smiling and looking like we like know each other, and looking at the camera--but after a plethora of failures, I downgraded my expectations to just everyone looking at the same camera--no smile necessary, and now I would just like everyone looking in the same general direction and situated in such as way as to appear that we at least know each other. The goal still seems distant, but I'll never give up. Here are few of our attempts (my computer is packed with more of them)...some of them are awfully close, but no cigar.
Ada? Over here, and Cambel--turn just a little.
Kevin, you like us remember?
Not sure where Cambel is looking, but our (okay, mainly mine) precarious perches on the rocks looks a little uncomfortable and risky.
Well, if only Cambel was looking...wait, we're missing Ada.
To be continued....

Funny, and true. Try adding one more to the mix. You just settle for nobody crying.
I've got you (and Anne) both beat, and so I don't even attempt it anymore! I'm happy with part of the family looking remotely like they know what a camera is!
Despite the different directions yall are looking, you are still such an adorable family!!! I'm sure you'll get lucky and catch everyone looking the same direction one of these days!
