Cardboard Rockets

Thanks to my sister the cake lady and her overzealous husband who built this for their son Isaiah (the boy Cambel looks up most to in the world), we now have this cardboard monstrosity in our basement:After seeing Isaiah's rocket Cambel spent hours in his room working on his own cardboard rocket, with this result:

Obviously Kevin had to intervene when he got home from his new job. He found some enormous cardboard boxes from a local business and he and Cambel went to work with a knife and duct tape. They even added a telescope/gun (a multipurpose must for every rocket) and some controls on the inside. And then they took in blankets and pillows and watched Bear Grylls just to add to the manliness.

Today, since Kevin is back in Anderson and not here to object, I downsized to a much smaller rocket (which I thought looked very cool)...but after all my work Cambel is not even playing with it and said we need to get Daddy to help us finish it when he is home again--proving once again that single motherhood is not for me.

I love it, Maria! Although, I may not show the boys pictures of Cambels or Isaiah's.
I hear you on the single parenthood thing. I will be saying a extra prayer for you. Just remember you're not alone, Jesus is with you. Hang in there!

I'm sorry Maria. I meant to help you out while Kevin is away working, but I think we are just making things harder. Maybe Saturday will make up for it.
