My sister, who is a registered nurse, assures me that the raging "cold" our family has been experiencing for the past 3 weeks is not the swine flu. But what else could possibly be filling our heads with such awful congestion (rendering breathing and speech virtually impossible), creating coughs, causing the use of a record amount of boxes of kleenex, and requiring prescription decongestants and antibiotics?
Not just a regular old cold, I'll tell you that much (and I am not a registered nurse).
Our doctor says that it may have something to do with the weather--that it hasn't been hot enough this summer to kill any germs.
So maybe I could stop blaming the pigs and blame global....cooling?
