I have a hard enough time doing my own hair, and quite often I think the result of my efforts (or lack of) are questionable. So adding another head of hair into my family that needs to be "done" has been a shadowy fear lurking in the back of my mind since Ada's birth.
Luckily a lot of Ada's hair fell out after she was born, and then it came back in a little curly which has saved me from having to do it.
Recently however, I decided to open up a pack of nearly microscopic hair bands and attempt to wind up some of Ada's super-fine hair into something that might resemble an "on purpose" hair treatment.
I must say the result left me pleased, giddy even (because how cute is she?). And I think I just might be able to handle Ada's hair...as long as she doesn't mind it being in a crooked ponytail sticking out of the top of her head until she can do it herself.
Ada's official hairdo from now until she has a better idea
We got a little wild and did 2 ponytails one day. (She and her cousin Micah who doesn't have to worry about his hair, were watching the other kids play outside).
