Arkansas or bust

Our trip to Arkansas started at 7:00 in the morning when we left from our house. We picked up Grandma and drove to the Indy airport. Our flight was delayed, so instead of having a 30 minute layover in St. Louis, we had a 3 hour layover. Cambel handled it well, but with no good naps and a lot of new noises, Ada was not too happy by the time we got on our second flight. We all survived though and it was worth it when we got to see Emily and Adriel. The kids slept well last night and hopefully we will get Ada back on track soon.

It was so fun to see Cambel enjoying the airport and the flight. He kept saying "this is so much fun." He loved it that he got to chew gum so that his ears wouldn't pop, wear his backpack, and watch the bags come down at the baggage claim. He was curious what the different noises were in the plane and conjectured that the "ding" (like when a passenger presses the button to ask for the flight attentdant) was to let us know that the plane was broken or on fire. Well, the warning would probably be a little more aggressive than a pleasant bell sound if the plane had burst into flames, but whatever:)
Emily has a lot of great things planned for us this week and we are so glad to be here.
