such a boy

it is interesting to see cambel develop into "such a boy"  every day he does things that can only be attributed to his genetically male DNA  (could he be the answer to the nature vs. nurture debate?) when he rides his bike he purposely drives through dirt--even though it makes it hard to pedal. he collects all kinds of rocks for no apparent reason. he "races" (basically running as fast as he can in a predetermined trail-only he knows where he is going) in the yard and around the house, again for no apparent reason. he loves all modes of transportation. he loves his new john deere tools and wants to play "carpet" (carpenter) and fix things around the house. and perhaps the most amusing aspect of his boyhood these days is his insistence on every day (and i do mean every day) wearing his "basketball shorts and his baseball shirt." you can see this very fancy outfit in these pictures. note that not all of them were not taken on the same day. the only way he will remove this outfit is for bed and church and if i have to wash it, in which case he will wear only his underwear until his clothes are done.

the new tools (which also, hooray for us, make all kinds of bizarre noises and play a weird song while in use)
nice sweaty hair
do you see what i see?
all worn out after a hard day of playing, and a long evening of messing around in bed and not going to sleep until very late.

Aren't boys funny? I can't believe how different little boys and little girls can be! Logan would eat dirt if I let him! HA!
