The end of summer brought...
An unexpected visit with an old friend from high school
A fun dinner and walk and popcicles with our Congolese friends
A quick trip up to Indiana with Emily so we could attend our High School Cross Country coach's retirement party. We got to stop and visit our cousin Julie too.
Another swim time at JCC in Louisiville while we waited to pick Cambel up from basketball camp
A last minute opportunity to help set up a house for an arriving refugee family and then the chance to meet them at the airport
Cambel worked so hard to let this little one hold him. We got to watch a family reunite after several years apart. What a gift.
One of "our" college students got married and we all enjoyed the outdoor wedding and the fancy reception
We used our coupons to the splash park and the kids took advantage of the free slushies
...and finally, an ice cream date to celebrate the start of school.
