We had the privilege this year of helping to welcome 2 refugee families into the United States by preparing and stocking an apartment. The first family was from the Middle East and the second family is from eastern Congo. We have gotten to know the second family a little better and have had the kids over to our home. They are sweet kids and we all loved playing with them. The language barrier makes it hard to communicate, but each time we see them their English improves.

Cambel enjoyed Joanna, the youngest girl. She took her afternoon nap on his lap.
On the way home from dropping the kids back off at their apartment, Oliver and I got stuck in traffic, which as we all know, is a great time to take a selfie.
