MLK March

Ada got hit with the flu over the weekend (complete with a fever or 104.2 and an extremely expensive prescription for Tamiflu), so our MLK days plans for our family to attend a march in Lexington with some friends turned into just me and the boys marching.
I have never been to an organized march like this before and I enjoyed it. It was encouraging to see such a large group of diverse people coming together to make a statement about equality and to honor the life of someone who fought so hard for civil rights. I feel this even more deeply as the mother of a Black child and I am incredibly grateful for those who have gone before us in this fight for equality.

The boys don't look too happy about equality and civil rights, but they are.
See? So happy!
