Natural Bridge

Saturday was the perfect day to drive to Red River Gorge and hike up to Natural Bridge. It was a beautiful hike and the view was awe-inspiring. Even Ada, who on the last hike said she hated walks, climbed up without whining and when she sat down to enjoy the view declared that it was "good to see the world."

We had to cross this swinging bridge, which at first the kids found frightening, and then awesome.

This claustrophobic space was the only path up to the top
What an amazing view.

We ended the morning with lunch at this fine establishment--famous for its amazing (and very greasy-in-a-delicious-way) pizza.
We returned home to find the remnants of the roof on our dormers. Since this pile the workers made is what was covering the top of our house its no wonder we had some leaks. Soon the work should be done and I will finally post pictures of our house.
