The older kids are gone today--it's Fall break and they are spending 2 nights at Nana and Papa's house. With 2 less children making messes, I thought it would be a good time to take pictures of the house. The only "befores" I have are the pictures we took when we saw the house the first time, so you will just have to imagine what it looked like before.
The entryway (this, along with the living room used to be a gold/yellow color. there were also a lot of miniblinds)

my "new" craigslist couch. we got an amazing deal on this couch--the first one we have purchased in 11 years of marriage. our other one succombed to the basement flooding.

kevin's office--still needs some work on decorations. the right wall used to be old paneling. we couldn't remove it for fear of the old plaster coming down too, so we painted over it and caulked in the gaps between it and the other walls and ceiling. not perfect, but much better. we also carpeted this room. the floor was just not in good enough condition to bother refinishing it.
