On Labor Day we packed up some snacks, put on our hiking/painting/play clothes and made our way to a 2 mile trail in the Palisades. The trail was pretty steep and narrow in some parts but the kids handled it remarkably well (the snacks helped) and we were rewarded with some beautiful scenery and a fantastic view.
