Somehow it has happened again, and Cambel and Ada have added another number to their age. Every year their new age catches me by surprise and this year was no exception. Their birthdays fall just 6 days apart and I get lost in a fog of birthday cakes, gifts, school cupcakes, and family celebrations. When it all settles down and the last bit of frosting has been eaten up they emerge a year old, and I emerge a bit more tired, but happy to be their mom and having the privilege of watching them grow.
I want to remember this face Cambel makes when he gets to laughing.
