We spent the days before Christmas with my family and after Christmas we went to be with Kevin's family. I say this every year, but we are so blessed to have families that we love and genuinely enjoy spending time with.
It is too bad that I don't have any pictures of the memories we made together. In the days leading up to Christmas I got a particularly nasty virus that took a few weeks to go away. It is not really an exaggeration to say that we don't have any pictures because instead of capturing memories I was blowing my nose (anyone in my extended family can attest to this).
Since it was Oliver's first Christmas with us I did manage to pull myself together for long enough to take some pictures of Christmas morning.
I also rallied one afternoon to make Christmas cookies.
Oliver joined the Christmas eve tradition of reading the kids' stories out loud.
Kevin and I could hardly get through any of the books without bawling, Oliver's was especially emotionally overwhelming. The kids were clearly not as touched.

We can always count on Cambel to make us feel like we are the best parents ever.
Ada with one of her many "new" My Little Ponies via ebay (if she only knew how long spent cleaning them up, combing, braiding, and even cutting their hair).
One of the best gifts this year was having our sweet boy home with us.
