On election morning, Ada and Cambel were discussing the presidency over breakfast.
Ada: If I were president I would say "go play! I am not allowing this." (followed by laughter)
Cambel: Ada, you don't even know what the president does. He says how much gas is going to cost.
Me: Cambel, the president does not set the gas prices.
Cambel: Then what does he do?
Me: well....(insert wordy and confusing explanation here followed by general confusion amongst the children).
Later in the conversation, which turned to who various people were "cheering" for, Cambel said
"If I ran for president, you and Daddy would cheer for me." (yes, we would, but for goodness sakes, do not run for president).
