Just one bite

Oliver has been on a bit of an eating strike lately, unless we are offering him bread. He refuses almost everything we give him (we even offered ice cream!), but he would eat a whole loaf of bread if I would let him. I think it has something to with teething, and something to do with being a Brown--that would be the enduring characteristic of stubbornness. Following in the footsteps of his older siblings, it looks like we have another child with his own ideas about how his world should be.
I have resorted to hiding all kinds of things in muffins and using every trick I can think of to get his mouth open wide enough to sneak in a spoon of something healthy. Oh the things I do for my kids!
The only other thing that he really gets excited about is what someone else (mainly Daddy) is eating.  Of course, the enthusiasm fades when he is in his seat at the table. Begging is just so much more alluring than your own bowl of food.

Please Daddy?

Who could resist such a cute beggar?
