Last week Cambel was home from school for Spring break and Ada's preschool was also out for the week. Maybe it was the magic of being together again, but something happened with these two and a real friendship blossomed between them. Suddenly, being together was SO MUCH FUN! It was sweet to see, and also a gift to me--two happy, occupied siblings means one happy mom. Cambel is also a big help with Oliver, who is in the middle of cutting teeth (read: a big grump).
It may not have been the beach, but it was still a nice break from the routine.

Kevin helped the kids erect a fort made of sheets in their room. They thought getting to sleep in it on their cots was the best thing ever. |
Oliver still had to sleep in his crib. He voiced his disappointment by waking up a few times. |
At the end of the week, after a trip to the park, a playdate at the Bounce House, and sleeping in the fort, we dyed Easter eggs (see? just like a beach vacation...). |
Ada thought I said "show me some attitude" when I said "smile and lean in towards Cambel." Easily confused. |
After the 3rd try, I just gave up. Leaning in, smiling, and looking at the camera all at the same time proved to be too much. |
