St. Simon's with the Browns

Our first week in St. Simon's was with Kevin's family. Each year our numbers grow and this year there were 7 grandkids and 8 adults (pretty soon the adults will be outnumbered). Our week was filled with lots of swimming at the pool and the ocean, reading, playing, bike riding, and meals together. The cousins all had a great time playing together. Cambel relished his role as the oldest cousin and enjoyed directing the play most of the time. Cambel and Ada are so blessed to have cousins who are playmates and friends.
 Cambel and Evan
Cambel, Evan, and Elise playing "spy." (We decided not to tell them that we didn't care if they saw what we were doing, and that they weren't all that secretive).

There were lots of jellyfish, so Cambel preferred this vantage point when enjoying the water.
The kids all loved the pool. By the end of our time there, Cambel was swimming all the way down to the bottom to retrieve toys.
 More (ineffective) spying
Enjoying the waves with Ryan (who incidentally knows more about Star Wars than Cambel, which made him even more love-able to Cambel than he already is)
Ada-probably instructing Andrew on what they were doing next. She has developed a real knack for bossing people around.
Ada and Papa heading for the pool.

Of course my pictures don't do all the family bonding time justice. These days together are priceless and we are so grateful that we are able to all leave our regular lives for a week and spend intentional time together. I know these are memories that our children will have forever.
