Happy Birthday Mom!

A few weeks ago our family celebrated my mom's 60th birthday. In planning for this celebration we threw around the idea of a surprise party, but then decided on a family brunch and a day out with the girls. When Mom told us that she was "very concerned" we were going to have a surprise party, we breathed a collective sigh of relief for our decision.

After a day of family, pedicures, shoe shopping, antique shopping, eating at Maggiano's, and lots of laughing, we knew for sure we had picked the best way to celebrate the life of our Mom--who has given of herself to make us who we are today.
