Soccer Camp

This week has been on Cambel's radar for quite some time. This week is soccer camp and Cambel has been counting down the days, anxious for it to begin. His excitement is not a reflection of his knowledge of soccer, but of his intense love of group activities, running, uniforms, and balls. This picture was taken at 7:45 this morning . Soccer begins at 9. Cambel can't wait to put on his outfit and shin guards (and explain to me how the shin guards work, and maybe even ask me to hit them to show me it doesn't hurt).
These pictures are from the first day of soccer camp. Mainly Cambel just loves to run with the other kids and take dramatic falls when there are several of them near the ball. No one seems to be entirely sure what goal is theirs, but they all seem to be having a great time. (If sweat and grass stains are an indication of fun, then Cambel is really really having a lot of it).
Cambel suggested we get this post up because Nana and Papa and Grandpa and Grandma would want to see him, so I thought I would ask him a few questions.

An interview with our soccer star:
Me:What is your favorite thing about soccer camp?
Cambel: About watching the other people play soccer and about running and just having fun because it is cool. I kind of like to fall too because it is cool when I fall. (See, I was right about the running and the dramatic falling part)

What have you learned this week at camp?
Uh, I learned a new way to kick, I learned how to pass, and I learned how to ummm, dribble the ball. I learned how to ummm, I just learned stuff and it was cool, I mean I liked it.

What are you going to do today at camp?
I have no idea! (hmm, play soccer maybe?)

Have you scored a goal?
Not yet. I haven't scored a goal yet, but I am having fun because I like to chase around the ball because it is cool running. It makes me a little bit tired.....how much longer is this going to take? (It is so hard to be a star and have to answer all these questions when all you want to do is run and fall)

Any final thoughts on soccer?
No.
Nothing?
Well, I just don't know really what...I just like to play soccer. That is all I like to do. (Then go play my son, go play).

Was there a wardrobe change before the day at camp began?

No--Those pictures are from the 1st day of camp, and the other picture is from the 2nd day, after he got his shirt. If you would have read more carefully I think you would have figured that out:)

Hmmmm. I just read it at least two more times and still maintain my question was valid. There is reference to pictures being taken on the first day before he went to camp. I am not sure if the second paragraph references the picture below, but it also references the first day. Couldnt the post have been written at night making both pictures from the first day? There is reference to being excited to put on his outfit and shinguards, but he already has an outfit and shinguards in the first picture. I would like an apology for criticizing my reading comprehension/attention span. You can show Cambel the pictures of us holding the big plaque after winning the tournament his weekend. He can be excited for what he has to look forward to if he keeps playing until he is 30.

One mistake in my explanation. The first pictures is said to have been taken 'this morning'. The second picture was said to have been taken from the first day. If the post was written at night then my question was valid. I think I have confused myself now. Hopefully one of these two comments makes sense. If not, just ignore me. I think I still have heat exhaustion from the weekend.

The post was written on the morning of the second day. The first picture is from the second day and the other pictures are from the first day.
I am not sure why I am even bothering to explain this:)
