Cambel's Preschool class spent the last few weeks learning about dinosaurs. The last day of the dinosaur curriculum was spent in revelry--complete with a volcano, ice cream, dinosaur shirts, song, dance, and paper hats with "plates" down their backs (so that they could fight if another dinosaur tried to scare them, says Cambel). Cambel was really proud of his shirt and insisted on wearing his plates to a play date. The other boys weren't scared, and the plates ripped off the hat rendering them fairly useless. All was not lost however. Thankfully I had had the foresight to capture the plates on camera along with a roar and a wiggle (which incidentally is also not scary, but it might be a move I can incorporate into my Zumba class).
