What do you want to talk about?

It's Friday and that means that Kevin is home!
And that means the bedtime routine is no longer wholly reliant on me.
Almost every night when I tuck Cambel in he says "let's talk." I am really bad at this mainly because our ideas of what to talk about are quite different (and because after a full day of caring for the kids sans Kevin, I am ready to do some mindless internet searching and facebook stalking).
It usually goes a little something like this:
Cambel: Let's talk
Me: Just for a minute
Cambel: What do you want to talk about?
Me: I don't know...did you have a good day?
Cambel: yeah, what else do you want to talk about?
Me: Let's talk about what we are going to do tomorrow.
Cambel: (maybe engaging this discussion briefly before saying...) What else do you want to talk about?

This could go on indefinitely with Cambel consistently disappointed with my topics of conversation.

But when daddy is home, everything is different.
Kevin snuggles up with Cambel and they talk about rockets and weapons and camping. And Cambel laughs (and probably wonders why on earth his mom is such a boring conversationalist).

Thank goodness for daddies and manly bedtime conversations.

(now excuse me while I look you up on facebook)

I saw you became a fan of walgreens recently. that made me laugh for some reason. I too frequent walgreens but never thought to become a fan of it on facebook.

Maria this is too cute! I know, there is something about the daddys.... At bed time I am MORE than done, and am glad when Tommy can sit and snuggle them a little longer.
