New Year's Resolutions

We are currently living in a sub-zero snow globe of sorts. The forced quarantine that has resulted has given me time to think about my new year's resolutions (as long as I get them set before January is over, they still count as "new year's" resolutions).  After much pondering and introspection, I have concluded that it all boils down to flossing. If I could bring myself to get out that waxy string and pull it between all of my teeth on a daily basis (instead of just the week before my next dental appointment--which by the way seems to be a pretty effective strategy. My dentist appears to be at least partially fooled thus far) then I think I would also be more likely to go through with exercising several times a week, and eating healthier foods, and going to bed at a decent time, and not spending exorbitant amounts of time on the computer reading blogs of people I have never met. I might even play more with my kids instead of getting frustrated that the act of playing is messing up my best laid organizational and decorating plans...but that might be going a little far. The point is, that the regularity of my flossing seems to be a good indicator of my discipline in general.  And boy, that makes new year's resolutions so much easier!
So here's to 2009: The year of daily flossing (and other wise lifestyle decisions)
