My kids are driving me crazy.
Because of the cold, it is impossible to go anywhere without hundreds of layers of clothing and hours of preparation. Thus we are locked inside indefinitely and we are slowly losing our minds. (Although insanity loomed closer for me in particular this morning as the pace towards a mental breakdown has intensified drastically).
Ada cannot crawl forwards, and this results in much fussing and unhappy noises. All of her frustration however, is not propelling her forward.
Cambel's solution is to play with her--which for him means grabbing her and making loud "play" noises. This does not help. In fact, it makes it worse. More fussing.
Cambel is bored. He has jumped onto, over, and off of everything he can. In the process he has squished my decorative pillows, broken apart a basket, and generally made me even crazier. He is so bored that he has resorted to trying to help me clean the house (poor kid, someday a therapist is going to feel really bad for him).
Thank goodness for PBS and early naps. They may be the only thing separating me from permanent mental instability.

I share your same frustration. This weather has to end soon!!!! Hang in there, this is just a test of your patience. You are a great mother:)
Sorry you are having such a bummer day. You are always welcome to make the trip over when that happens and let Isaiah and Cambel play together.
The good news is that somehow we survive (or maybe that is the bad news?) and these days become in the past.
Go read some depressing blogs about people who have it worse than you - there seems to be a plethora of them.
Maria! I am so with you on this one! My kids are climbing the walls! We have an extra queen matress set in the garage that I MADE Tommy bring into the living room. The kids jump on it all day long. It is SO tacky and takes up our entire living room, but it has saved my sanity! If they start fighting or whatever, I say "Everyone jump 20 times!" and we all have to rush in and jump! I think it has really helped them get rid of their energy, because I WILL NOT budge the 7pm bedtime, so they have to be tired!!! Ha!
