After a great vacation, we loaded up the car and drove the 17 hours back home. The kids really were great, but 17 hours is a long time for anybody. We always start out the trip with an organized clean car and healthy snacks. I am not sure where the breakdown occurs, but at some point the car is a disaster and we don't care, the bag for trash is lost, toys are scattered all over, and we just start eating greasy fast food to distract ourselves. On this particular trip, Cambel fell in the toilet at my mom's during a much-needed pit stop. No one is quite sure how this happened (including my mom, who was supposed to be helping him). Since his shirt was soaked and nobody felt like digging through the back of the van for another one, this is how he made the rest of the drive. Needless to say we are glad to be home and fully clothed.

On the road again...
