"Well, I'm stuck"

Last night after the kids were in bed, Kevin and I were in the living room together relaxing and talking. We kept hearing a funny rustling and banging noise coming from the vicinity of Cambel's room. After awhile, Kevin went to investigate. Upon opening Cambel's bedroom door, he found Cambel wedged in the small space between his bed and the wall. He asked sternly (since Cambel is given the option every night of either staying in bed, or getting out of his bed and losing a limb...) what he was doing. Calmly and informatively (which was a shock because usually situations like these leave Cambel in tears), he said "Well, I'm stuck."  Upon hearing this I couldn't help but laugh, which quickly sabotaged any of Kevin's efforts towards disciplining Cambel. After acquiring the Jaws of Life to extricate Cambel from his predicament, we tucked him back in bed and rescued the small stuffed animals that had fallen in between his bed and the wall, and had apparently initiated his rescue operation and his subsequent emergency.
The rest of the evening I kept thinking about Cambel and how long he had been stuck (we heard the noises for quite awhile before we found him), and how he probably hadn't called for us since he didn't want to get in trouble. I am still laughing about it.

I thought this was hilarious! By the way, good job writing more in August than I think you have since you have started this blog. Are you trying to keep up with me or something? You can just give up now :)
